Christine Lynn Jones & Kristin Lynne Nori
Christine Lynn Jones and Kristin Lynne Nori, two highly experienced educators, have dedicated over 55 years of combined service to the education sector.
Their primary goal is to discover innovative solutions to bridge the gap between home and school.
They firmly believe that when parents and schools unite, it yields tangible results such as improved test scores, attendance, social-emotional skills, work ethics, and more.
This collaborative approach is the catalyst for children to realize their full potential.
Throughout my extensive 30-year career in both special and general education, I’ve been privileged to be nominated for Teacher of the Year and ranked in the top 10 for my school corporation. My contributions to the school community have been significant, mainly through my leadership position on the Teacher Leadership Team.
I’ve had the opportunity to coach and train new students and cadet teachers at the high school level, continuously learning and adapting to the evolving educational landscape. My journey in education has been enriching, offering numerous opportunities to impact the lives of students and colleagues positively.
I’m immensely proud of the books I’ve authored, including “Teacher Balancing Act” and “Bridging the Educational Gap,” which aim to support overwhelmed teachers and address critical gaps in education. Additionally, speaking internationally on educational topics has allowed me to connect with educators from diverse backgrounds and cultures, furthering my passion for global education reform.
Serving on the teacher leadership team at both the building and district levels has been a fulfilling responsibility. It has enabled me to contribute to strategic decision-making and professional development initiatives. I find great joy in coaching fellow teachers, fostering their growth, and inspiring innovation in the classroom.
One of the most fulfilling projects I’ve been involved in was co-developing science kits for K-4 students. This collaborative effort aimed to make learning engaging and accessible for young learners. Additionally, co-writing a tier 2 PBIS intervention for my school and implementing a check-in and check-out system to support students’ academic and behavioral needs have been pivotal in creating a positive school culture.
I had the privilege of being an After-school director. I trained three employees and developed a curriculum with multicultural opportunities for students, including dance and music, ethnic foods, arts and crafts, history, and personal stories from the country.
Outside of my professional life, I thrive on exploring new interests and pushing my boundaries. Whether boating, gardening, or travelling to new places, I enjoy every new experience.
I’m excited to continue learning and growing personally and professionally. Every new adventure and challenge fuels my passion for education and reinforces my commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
With over 25 years of experience in general and special education, I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities within the field.
I have held various roles throughout my career, ranging from hands-on positions such as classroom and special education teacher, ASD specialist, SEL coordinator, and self-contained behavior teacher to more administrative positions, including district compliance officer and behavioral specialist.
In each of these capacities, I have honed my skills in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
One of the most successful aspects of my career has been implementing the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavior Instruction and Support (PBIS) programs. These initiatives have provided students with tailored academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assistance and significantly improved students’ overall development and success.
My dedication to education extends beyond the classroom. I have improved educational outcomes by collaborating on and coauthoring a book, “Bridging the Educational Gap Between Home and School,” which bridges the gap between home and school environments. These contributions reflect my passion for fostering synergy among educators, families, and communities, inspiring collective action to improve education.
As a national professional development (PD) specialist and coach, I have leveraged my expertise to empower educators nationwide. My leadership extends beyond the classroom to directing camps that offer enriching experiences beyond the traditional curriculum. Whether it’s overseeing school-wide science programs or academic camps focused on math and reading, I strive to inspire a love for learning in every participant.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I find solace and inspiration in the beauty of nature. I particularly enjoy the tranquillity of the beach and partake in activities such as fishing and boating to unwind and recharge. I am a proud dog mom and aunt and an avid turtle collector.
Tending to and nurturing plants further fuels my appreciation for the natural world. This passion mirrors my enthusiasm for football, and I am a loyal supporter of my favorite team, the Washington Commanders.
Whether on the field or in the classroom, my passion for education and steadfast commitment to excellence remain pillars of my identity.
